Be a pAVilion Exhibitor!

The 2018 AMIA Conference is right around the corner!

The new AMIA pAVilion scheduled for two days – Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st and will bring together our traditional Vendor Cafe with an AV Archiving Fair, skill shares, “ask an expert” spaces, and small group discussions.  Our goal is to create a hub for sharing information at the conference.

For Exhibitors this means a full day of programmed activity in the pAVilion on Friday and Saturday.

  • On Friday the pAVilion will highlight the work of AMIA’s committees and groups.  Activities may include – Resume Table; Small Group Discussions;Authors Table; Ask an Expert stations; Demos; and mini workshops.
  • On Saturday, we will openthe pAVilion to regional and local archives and archivists for the all – day AV Archiving Fair.   Independent media makers, collecting institutions, and community groups in the Portland area will be invited to bring their challenges, their media objects, and their data for a day of collaborative problem solving and skill-sharing with the AMIA community. The fair is organized around a number of “stations,” each of which will be staffed by AMIA volunteers, and focus on a particular workflow, technique, or tool.

The floor plan is in the final stages of approval. You will receive it once it is finalized.  Exhibit Booths include an 8×10 booth, a draped six foot table, and two chairs.  Please note information about your program listing in your materials.

If you are not already a sponsor, I encourage you to consider it.  AMIA’s projects and educational programs rely on our partners and sponsors.  I’ve included our sponsors packages information, but we have also developed a special Contributing Sponsor package only available to those exhibiting in the Vendor Café.

The Contributing Sponsor package includes your booth, a full registration to the conference, and other ways to increase your exposure to attendees.  :

  • One booth in The pAVilion
  • One full registration AMIA 2018
  • Listing as a Contributing Sponsor on the conference website and in the Program
  • A 25 word profile of your company and logo on the sponsor page of the website
  • Included in Sponsor announcement emails to the attendees and membership
  • Your marketing collateral included in the AMIA 2018 conference packages

Remember – if you are an AMIA Institutional Member, you receive a $100 discount on your booth.
