Conference Travel Grants
The AMIA/SFSFF Travel Grant and the AMIA Community Fund Travel Grants offer reimbursement of up to $1,000 for travel and other expenses but differ slightly in the full package. You may apply for both grants, but must apply separately and the statement information is different for each application.

AMIA Community Fund Travel Grant
This year $11,500 will be awarded in Community Fund Travel Grants up to $1,000 each. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the fund this year and to the sponsors who have made additional funding – HGST, a Western Digital brand; Roundabout Entertainment; and, DigiPres Labs.
Reflected in our Statement of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity adopted earlier this year, AMIA is committed to cultivating an environment in which in a multiplicity of voices are sought, listened to and respected. In order to increase and encourage diversity, inclusion, and equity at the conference, special consideration will be given to underrepresented individuals and those whose work shows a commitment to diversity in the field.

AMIA/San Francisco Silent Film Festival Travel Grant
The San Francisco Silent Film Festival Travel Grant was established to help develop new media archivists, the caretakers of our film heritage. The Grant provides travel funding for the AMIA Annual Conference as well as registration for the annual San Francisco Silent Film Festival.
Application deadline is September 21.
Grant recipients will be notified no later than October 13th.
