Conference Grants

Conference Grant applications are open – deadline extended to October 27, 2021

AMIA’s Community Fund was established to pay tribute to the work of AMIA members and, through donations, offer colleagues, friends and families a way to honor contributions to the moving image field. The Fund provides travel funding for the AMIA Annual Conference. The Savada Family Legacy Fund supports the work of the AMIA community, offering travel grants to the annual conference. This year, the Fund will support five Conference Grants for the November conference.

For the 2021 conference, two types of grants will be offered. Full conference grants will waive the full registration fee, partial grants will offer a 50% discount on registration fees.

Conference Grants are open to members and to those who engage or plan to engage with the AMIA community. Funding is based on need, and we encourage applications from those whose work shows a commitment to inclusion and diversity in the field. While past funding recipients are eligible to apply, consideration is given to those who have not recently received funding.
