COVID & AMIA 2023
We are excited to welcome everyone to AMIA 2023 in Tulsa!
At this time, vaccinations and negative tests are not required to attend AMIA 2023. If you test positive within five days prior to the start of the conference, AMIA will refund your registration fees in line with our cancellation policy.
During the conference all members of our community are welcome to wear a face covering at any time, for any reason. Please respect individual decisions regarding whether or not to wear a mask when it is optional.
In addition we ask attendees to –
- Monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 each morning before leaving their hotel
- Consider bringing rapid COVID-19 test kits to have on hand
Everyone is at a different comfort level when interacting with others. At the Registration Desk you can pick up a bracelet to indicate your preference for interacting with fellow attendees –
· Green – Handshakes and High Fives
Attendees should assess their health prior to leaving your guest room each morning. If you experience symptoms of COVID-19 and/or test positive, we recommend:
- Isolate and stay in your hotel room if possible.
- Notify the hotel that you are isolating in your hotel room. Notify colleagues, if applicable, that they may have been exposed.
- Adjust your accommodations and travel plans if needed
- If you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of your last day at the conference, please contact AMIA at amia@amianet.org.
- AMIA will notify conference attendees if someone tests positive for COVID-19, and ensure their identity remains anonymous.
