The AMIA 2020 Conference Schedule
The Conference Committee has been hard at work translating our traditional in-person schedule into a dynamic virtual event. We’ve surveyed our members, and thanks to your feedback we have created a schedule that is accessible to different time zones, work locations, and the shifting work-life balances that have emerged for all of us during this pandemic.
To ensure that our workshops are intensive and immersive experiences, they will remain pre-conference events. They will take place in November, in the weeks leading up to the conference. The workshop fees and schedule will be posted soon.
AMIA 2020 will officially begin on November 17th and run through November 20th. These three and a half days are packed with panels and poster sessions, virtual tours, lightning talks, roundtables, and committee and membership meetings.
The Pavilion will also be virtual. Members will have the opportunity to drop into the Pavillion throughout the day to visit with sponsors, partners and vendors, and to learn about new technologies and tools for our field.
Our evening events will keep the spirit of comradery that has defined AMIA conferences alive and well in the virtual realm. They include Archival Screening Night, watch parties, Trivia Night, and (we hope!) some karaoke.
