What’s Your Story?
Friday – 9:30am – 12:30pm
Booth 310 | The Pavilion
World Day for Audiovisual Heritage is celebrated every year on October 27th. In 2020, we want to ask “What’s your story?” – the goal is to highlight stories from archives, archivists, and the public in a trailer premiering on World Day, but also on the WDAVH YouTube channel. It is a way of promoting the work done in AV archives around the world, and highlighting the people who are entrusted with keeping those stories for future generations.
On Friday we will have a camera set up in the pAVilion area (booth 310) and we would like you to come by and tell your story(ies) around one of these four questions:
- What made you want to be an archivist
- What your saddest story of lost history
- What your happiest story of preserved heritage
- What moment has had the most impact on you as an archive professional
Just two minutes to tell a story – but sharing your story may inspire someone to donate to preserve a collection, advocate for their local archive, or someday become an archivist themself.
This trailer/story campaign is one we hope to continue beyond 2020’s World Day. We’re the first of the organizations to contribute and with the variety of voices here at the conference we have a wide range of stories to tell.
Sign up for a time, or stop by the booth.
