Conference Grants

AMIA will offer 15 Conference Grants for the 2020 November conference. AMIA is committed to cultivating an environment in which in which a multiplicity of voices are sought, listened to and respected. Conference Grants are open to members and to those who engage or plan to engage with the AMIA community.  We encourage applications from those whose work shows a commitment to inclusion and diversity in the field. While past funding recipients are eligible to apply, consideration is given to those who have not recently received funding.

AMIA Community Fund

AMIA’s Community Fund was established to pay tribute to the work of AMIA members and, through donations, offer colleagues, friends and families a way to honor contributions to the moving image field. Community Fund travel grants are funded through donations from AMIA members and donors.

Savada Family Legacy Fund

The Savada Family Legacy Fund supports the work of the AMIA community, offering travel grants to the annual conference. This year, the Fund will support five Conference Grants for the November conference.

With a virtual conference in 2020, each grant will provide a full waiver of conference registration fees. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the fund this year and to the sponsors who have made additional funding possible.
